My work is an exploration of synaesthesia, visionary worlds, myth, media and evolution. Combined, these elements give way to exponential or asymptotic sets of circumstances relating to the nature of experience, perception and interaction with the world.

Where visionary experiences figure prominently in this sense of world, an increase in chaos, hybridization, cross wiring, cross referencing, interconnected causality or, novel magical synchronicities, begins to emerge. Simultaneously generating ever greater levels of complexity along with the instruments to navigate this complexity. A scenario supernatural, extraordinary and fantastical on one level yet reaching into and effecting reality, communication and behaviour at the most basic of levels. This is accompanied by reconfiguration of ethics, values, history, economics, infrastructure and aesthetics.

Engaging a variety of instruments to address this, including painting, music, writing, video, sculpture,ceremony and celebration, my process involves encounters in the imagination with chaordic patterns of light, shape, form and colour each of which representing, in a synaesthetic manner, events from life, fantasy, media, hallucinations, conjurations, dreams, fable and the everyday. A landscape of information, memory and events evolves with the forms and patterns simultaneously, yet separated. The result is often a mixing of these two elements; the recognizable mapped and integrated over and with the unrecognizable, or mysterious. Giving way to an investigation of the nature experience, thought, ecologies of mind, the origins and residence of consciousness and its interactions with the mind/body/environment and the roles played by music, imagination, language, spirits, ecosystems, the afterlife, the planets and so on.
